Michigan doesn't have many trophy games.
The most famous one, for the Little Brown Jug against Minnesota, doesn't even get played every year.
But playing Michigan State for the Paul Bunyan Trophy -- a four-foot wood carving of the giant with his axe, standing on top of a map of the state and all of that on top of a five-foot pedestal -- has gained importance in recent years, mostly because the Wolverines haven't seen it very often. Many of the current players have barely seen it all, with U-M's last win coming in the 2012 season and the Wolverines losing seven of the past eight.
