With the 2019 recruiting class now mostly signed for Michigan, the Wolverines on Friday added an important piece for next year’s group. Phoenix (Ariz.) Pinnacle quarterback J.D. Johnson announced on Twitter his decision to commit to the Maize and Blue.
“I am ecstatic to announce that I am committing to play football at the University of Michigan,” Johnson wrote. “I want to thank God for this opportunity, my parents who have provided awesome support through this process, and my coaches and teammates at Pinnacle HS. I am excited about pursuing excellence, both in the classroom and on the field at the University of Michigan.
