Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh understands that staff turnover is a part of his life. He has been a head coach since 2004, but only one assistant has remained with him consistently: offensive coordinator Tim Drevno.
So his eye is always on other coaches, and that’s how he noticed Greg Frey, who recently was hired as U-M’s tackles and tight ends coach. He liked Frey so much over the past two years that he told his brother, John Harbaugh, to look at Frey for the Baltimore Ravens and protégé Willie Taggart to consider Frey for his Oregon staff.
