Jim Harbaugh is branching out.
The Michigan football coach reportedly will join the new Leaders Council of the Legal Services Corporation. The group will “raise awareness of the need for increased funding for civil legal services for the poor” and will be introduced today at the White House. Harbaugh was spotted in the crowd.
There are a few prominent attorneys on the council, as well as nonlawyers such as Harbaugh and Viacom vice-chairman Shari Redstone.
The intent of today’s summit, the fifth annual, is to show the gap in funding for civil legal aid.
