George Johnson III made an official visit to Michigan over the weekend and it didn’t take long for the Stuart (Fla.) Marin County athlete to decide Ann Arbor was the right place for him. He became the Wolverines’ fifth pledge in two days on Monday evening.
Standing in at 5-11, 180 pounds, Johnson plays primarily on offense in high school, working at quarterback and wide receiver. He could continue as a wide receiver in college, or potentially use his physical skills in the secondary.
Rated as a three-star prospect, Johnson selected the Wolverines over scholarship offers from Florida State, Georgia, Oregon, Nebraska and others.
