It's in both Michigan and the NCAA's best interest to make sign gate go away quietly. The NCAA clearly does not want that to happen and now Michigan is fighting back. They sent it a long response to the allegations of Michigan sign stealing. I wish they were that aggressive when Jim was here.
Either way, its finally the proper response. The NCAA lacks power and it really lacks power over college football. This story was dead over 12 months ago, but it stays alive thanks the NCAA trying to get a pound of flesh. Let's not forget the big FBI/NCAA Sting that had coaches on wiretaps paying players and nothing ever came of that.
