ANN ARBOR -- Jim Harbaugh was pleased with his quarterback play in the immediate aftermath of Michigan's season-opening loss at Notre Dame on Saturday night. About 36 hours later, after watching film of the 24-17 loss, Harbaugh was still mostly positive.
Michigan's head coach first mentioned accuracy on Monday afternoon when discussing starting quarterback Shea Patterson's performance.
"The thing that popped the most was his accuracy, the location of the balls," Harbaugh said. "He was accurate all game. Some tight window throws, some really good throws."
Patterson completed 20 of 30 pass attempts (for 227 yards) against a strong Fighting Irish defense.
