WICHITA, Kan. -- The NCAA Tournament is underway, giving NBA hopefuls a chance to prove themselves on college basketball's biggest stage.
While dominating March Madness is not a prerequisite to getting drafted -- the last two No. 1 overall picks did not even participate -- there's no doubt that a strong performance can boost a player's stock.
Michigan has just one player who, at this point, would seriously consider leaving early after the season for the NBA, and that's junior Moritz Wagner. Michigan will lose Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman, Duncan Robinson, and Jaaron Simmons to graduation.
Many NBA draft experts -- such as those at Sports Illustrated, CBS, and USA Today -- are currently projecting the first round only, and Wagner does not appear on most of those lists, released this week.
