ANN ARBOR -- Last week, a couple days before the NBA draft combine started in Chicago, John Beilein was hopeful Charles Matthews would get a last-minute invite.
"I'm all for him going," Beilein said. "The more education he can get, the better."
The invite never came, but Beilein mentioned Matthews had participated in some workouts with NBA teams. He had another on Tuesday with the Denver Nuggets.
Matthews, who has two seasons of college eligibility remaining, entered his name for NBA draft consideration without hiring an agent. He has until May 30 -- one week from today -- to withdraw his name if he wants to return to Michigan.
