With a spot open at LB, Michigan's Josh Ross focuses on himself

Josh Ross spent part of the Michigan football team's recent European trip helping his brother plan his marriage proposal.

But days before the older Ross dropped to one knee inside the Palace of Versailles, Josh jokingly told a group of reporters that the days of being pushed around are over.

"Now the tables are turned," Josh Ross said last month in Paris. "He's fat, short. I'm way better than he was."

Ross, a 6-foot-2, 229-pound sophomore, hopes to make an impact for Michigan this season. He spent the spring taking reps primarily at weakside linebacker, the position left open by Mike McCray's departure.
