Will MSU or Michigan open the NCAA Tournament in Detroit? Both? Neither? Everything's possible

Michigan and Michigan State spent the weekend in New York City, where the Wolverines earned their second straight Big Ten tournament title and the Spartans suffered a tournament semifinal loss to their rivals.

Now, the question is who gets to play in Detroit next weekend.

Little Caesars Arena will serve as a host site for the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament next weekend. Eight of the 68 tournament teams will open the tournament there on March 16, and the winners of those four games will play their second-round games there two days later.

It's conceivable that either Michigan or Michigan State will be among those eight teams slated to play there when the tournament field is unveiled on Sunday.
