While they mixed in more zone looks this past season, the Wolverines often play press man coverage. And although that's a difficult ask, Michigan has developed plenty of starting-caliber cornerbacks over the past five years who can handle their own in coverage.
It'll have to do so again this offseason, following Lavert Hill's graduation.
The All-Big Ten cornerback was a mainstay in Michigan's secondary the past three seasons, and his departure opens up a starting spot alongside returning starter Ambry Thomas.
Hill's replacement could be the player who filled in for him last season when Hill was injured.
