Why this University of Michigan regent thinks a shift is coming to college NIL deals

Jordan Acker, a University of Michigan regent, is on vacation in Greece.

He took a step away Tuesday from his wife, glass of white wine and plate of cheese to explain his thoughts on name, image and likeness changes.

"I had some time off to think and reflect and this is something I think about a lot and the future of college athletics," he said in a phone call with the Free Press. "It really, honestly had nothing to do with Michigan, recruiting or this season.
