Michigan football’s Rashan Gary strolled through the lobby of Schembechler Hall’s Towsley Museum on Thursday, squeezing his way past a throng of reporters, and put his right arm around redshirt sophomore defensive tackle Michael Dwumfour.
“It’s my brother,” Gary said.
“I met Rashan in sixth grade,” Dwumfour said. “I’d never seen somebody that big at that age.”
As high school underclassmen, the two lined up next to each other for Scotch Plains (N.J.) Fanwood High School. They could do the same this fall for Michigan.
Gary is looking to build upon a breakout sophomore season.
