When Michigan football running backs coach Mike Hart suffered a seizure against Indiana, Donovan Edwards was visibly upset.
“Personally, that messed me up and it still messes me up to this day,” Edwards said Monday on the Inside Michigan Football Radio Show on WWJ-AM. “I look at Coach Hart like family. That’s my ride-or-die guy.”
Translation: Someone who is there, no matter what.
TV cameras caught Edwards breaking down in tears, hugging teammates and coaches.
“I actually saw it happen,” Edwards said on the show. “They showed Blake (Corum) and me crying and stuff.
