It’s pretty safe to say that returning senior Karan Higdon will start the season as Michigan Football‘s No. 1 running back, but that doesn’t mean he’ll finish it that way. Last season Higdon led the team in rushing with 994 yards and 11 touchdowns even though he didn’t start the season as the No. 1 back.
After a fantastic freshman year from Chris Evans, he started the 2017 season as the No. 1 back with Higdon right behind him. It became clear that the offense ran a bit more smoothly with Higdon in the game, and he eventually began getting a majority of the carries.
