ANN ARBOR -- D.J. Wilson will hear his name called in the NBA Draft tonight.
That sentence, in and of itself, is jarring.
Five years ago, he missed the entire 2012 summer recruiting cycle with a stress fracture of the fifth lumbar vertebra in his lower back. Then he missed key stretches of his junior season in high school with lingering pain. By year's end, the recruiting interest he'd garnered as an underclassmen, stemming from the likes of Cal Berkeley, dried up.
