Indianapolis — Michigan has lived and died by the 3-pointer all season.
Why stop now?
Seventh-seeded Michigan used a second-half 3-point barrage to blitz No. 10 Oklahoma State and hang on for a heart-racing 92-91 victory in an NCAA Tournament first-round game Friday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Michigan (25-11) lives to see another day and will advance to Sunday and face the winner of No. 2 Louisville and No. 15 Jacksonville State. The Wolverines finished 16-for-29 from beyond the arc and were 11-for-15 in the second half.
The 16 3’s are a program record for an NCAA Tournament game.
