Michigan basketball coach John Beilein is still the third-highest paid coach in the Big Ten.
Beilein will earn an annual salary of $3.8 million after agreeing to a new contract on Wednesday, but he still ranks third in the conference in total pay behind Ohio State's Chris Holtmann ($7.15 million) and Michigan State's Tom Izzo ($4.36 million), , according to data compiled by USA Today.
Beilein's previous base salary was $3.37 million per season.
Beilein’s new contract is a rolling extension that effectively serves as a lifetime contract. The new deal will take Beilein through the 2022-23 season and automatically renew until the university decides not to renew the contract.
