The Michigan Wolverines needed to come out of the weekend with a solid victory, but it is not exactly accurate to say that is what happened against Arkansas State. There were moments when the Wolverines did what they needed to do against an inferior opponent, but even before the garbage-time score it was not the smoothest day for this stumbling Michigan team.
With the non-conference slate now over, the Wolverines need to figure out who they are — and quickly. The visit from USC on Saturday is now looking quite terrifying and the floor of this year has moved from 9-3 to maybe 7-5.
