Even great teams have unimpressive wins, and complaining after a 20-point victory says something about the current state of affairs as well. Still, skepticism is warranted after the Michigan Wolverines looked far from sharp against Fresno State. With a massive contest against Texas this Saturday, this was not the showing anyone hoped for in the opener.
It was just 60 minutes, but there are plenty of takeaways and learnings after the first game in the Sherrone Moore era. The visit from the Longhorns will teach us significantly more about this team, but in the meantime here are the three things on my mind following the Wolverines’ 2024 season kickoff.
