Michigan’s season opener is just days away against Fresno State and the program hasn’t announced their starting quarterback yet. Earlier this week head coach Sherrone Moore noted that the finalists are Alex Orji and Davis Warren, who have been splitting first-team reps at practice.
Moore made it clear what he’s looking for in Michigan’s starting quarterback — he isn’t looking for just a game manager. Whoever the quarterback is needs to make plays and score points.
“For us, it’s going to be, who’s gonna be consistent enough to help us win the game. And not just manage the game, but sometimes you’re going to have to make a play,” Moore explained.
