SAN ANTONIO -- Michigan has four point guards on its roster not named Zavier Simpson and none of them like being guarded by Simpson any more than Michigan's opponents.
"He makes it hell for us," freshman Luke Wilson said Sunday.
On Monday, Simpson will face the national player of the year, Villanova point guard Jalen Brunson, in the national championship. Simpson will be prepared for the challenge because he's faced talented offensive players throughout the season and has great defensive skills. Just as importantly, he brings the same intensity to practice that he does to games.
"He's fierce," Wilson said.
