Michigan (7-3) wasn't included in the AP top 25 for the fourth straight week and didn't receive a single vote for the third straight week. This was expected as the Wolverines suffered their third loss of the season last week when #18 SMU smacked them around by 24 points. It's unlikely that Michigan will crack the AP top 25 until the Big Ten season begins because U-M's next five games are against teams outside the KenPom top 100. Therefore, Michigan must win all five of those and beat #9 Purdue in West Lafayette on January 7th to reenter the polls as soon as possible.
