Michigan’s offense capped a week of good news with offensive lineman Zak Zinter and receiver Cornelius Johnson announcing Sunday they're returning for the upcoming season. The defense also got a boost with linebacker Michael Barrett saying he coming back for a sixth year.
Zinter, a 6-foot-6, 315-pound right guard, was first-team All-Big Ten in 2022 and has been part of Michigan’s back-to-back Joe Moore Award-winning group as the nation’s top offensive line. He has made 31 starts, all but one at right guard, during his career.
“While playing in the NFL has always been a lifelong dream of mine, we still have unfinished business,” Zinter wrote in a post to social media.
