De’Veon Smith’s defining moment in a Michigan uniform was a bulldozing 60-yard touchdown jaunt versus BYU in 2016.
Unfortunately for AAF defenses, he’s still rumbling. The Orlando Apollo running back trucked through the Memphis Express defense for 28 yards in a 21-17 victory Saturday.
He rushed eight times for 52 yards overall to help Steve Spurrier’s new team stay undefeated at 3-0. He’s totaled 17 totes for 69 yards and two scores in the inaugural AAF season, as well as three receptions for 18 yards.
After surpassing 750 yards in each of his last two campaigns in Ann Arbor, Smith signed with the Miami Dolphins as a free agent.
