Michigan Football may have not wanted to dip into the bag of tricks this early in the season, but they found themselves needing a lift on Saturday vs. Army in the form of a fake punt in the first quarter to set up a scoring drive.
On the play, freshman safety Daxton Hill noticed he was uncovered, which let to a direct snap to Mike Barrett, a former high school quarterback, to toss Hill the ball for a gain of 25 yards on fourth down.
The drive would be capped off by the first rushing touchdown of Zach Charbonnet’s young career.
