For all intents and purposes, this was one of those games you try to remove from existence. The Michigan Wolverines entered the game as 31-point favorites. Oakland University entered the game as their fourth match-up in five days.
The main question heading into the game was “when does Michigan get their walk-ons some playing time?” As the first half waned, that shifted to the question, “alright, when does Michigan stop messing around?” By the end of regulation, fans were asking, “is this an actual nightmare?”
Thankfully, the Wolverines pulled this one out 81-71 and avoided a monumental upset.
