For a change, this game didn't end on the final play. It was over before halftime.
After a last-second loss to Michigan State and a goal line stand as time expired against Minnesota, Michigan took care of business Saturday against Rutgers, rolling to a 49-16 win in which it didn't allow an offensive touchdown and Jake Rudock returned to have a career day.
Rudock, knocked out of last week's win over the Gophers, passed for a career-high 337 yards and two touchdowns, and also ran another one in. Michigan finished with a season-high 487 yards of total offense, which included some more Jabrill Peppers and a big day from tight end Jake Butt.
