The Michigan Wolverines got the job done. While the previous game against the Fighting Illini was a bit of a disappointment, it didn’t keep the Wolverines down, who battled through some questionable officiating and pushed to a comfortable victory over their in-state rivals to secure a championship. At 19-2, the Wolverines have claimed the outright Big Ten regular season championship and helped solidify their 1-seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Franz Wagner was able to step up from his 2-point performance on Tuesday and turned out 19 points, hitting some big 3 point shots early in the second half to truly put some distance between the Wolverines and the Spartans.
