The tight end position for the Michigan Wolverines is in somewhat of a transitional state. Since Jake Butt, Michigan has yet to feature a true “elite” level tight end. In a Josh Gattis offense that aims to fully utilize speed in space, sometimes it can be hard to see exactly where a tight end fits into that scheme. However, when you have the versatility that Louis Hansen brings to the offense, you have a lot of options.
Starting his high school career as a wide-out, Hansen still has some bulking up to do, but his ceiling is incredibly high as either a flex or inline tight end prospect.
