It has been awhile since a Michigan quarterback has found a wide receiver for a touchdown pass.
The last time this occurred was Septermber 9th, 2017 versus Cincinnati, where Wilton Speight threw one to Grant Perry.
That was 364 days ago.
The drought ended in the second quarter against Western Michigan, when quarterback Shea Patterson found wideout Nico Collins for a 44 yard touchdown.
Patterson had enough time for the play to develop, and he threw an absolute strike to Collins, who beat the secondary down the field.
