Warde Manuel slams Big Ten decision to suspend Harbaugh, says other conference members should be worried of ‘new standard of judgment’

Jim harbaugh’s suspension for the Penn State game — and the foreseeable future for now — was upheld on Saturday after a temporary restraining order was not granted by the courts. Instead, the courts set a hearing for next Friday.

In a new statement provided Saturday morning, just a half hour before kickoff, Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel released a strong statement regarding the Big Ten’s decision.

“I want to make it clear at the outset of this statement that no one at the University of Michigan is happy to hear of the allegations and preliminary evidence that has come forth about in-person scouting and sign stealing by a member of our football program.
