The Wolverines lose their top three players from the linebacker position from last year’s team, also starting over with a new defensive scheme and position coach at that spot. The responsibility of mentoring the unit has fallen to Chris Partridge, who headed up the recruiting support staff last year, but is now tasked with getting a young group quickly up to speed.
Following Michigan’s sixth spring practice session on Tuesday, Partridge discussed the early returns he has seen from the group and the adjustment to Don Brown’s defense.
