ANN ARBOR — Turns it out it wasn't "The Game" that Ohio State needed to be worried about. It was the game before "The Game."
The Buckeyes were stunned — an understatement, perhaps — by visiting Michigan State on Saturday at Ohio Stadium, snapping a 23-game game winning streak and a 30-game Big Ten winning streak. The loss came on the final play; MSU kicker Michael Geiger knocking a hard slider through the uprights for a 17-14 win, creating an unexpected upheaval in the Big Ten East Division.
The shock had hardly set in Saturday before word of tumult inside the Buckeyes locker room began emerging.
