University of Michigan athletics projects $182 million in 2018 revenues

ANN ARBOR, MI - The University of Michigan Athletic Department projects a $2 million surplus for the coming fiscal year, while reporting a $2.4 surplus for the current year.

UM Athletic Director Warde Manuel presented the budget, which projected operating revenues of $182.4 million and expenses of $180.4 million for the 2018 fiscal year, during the Thursday, June 15 Board of Regents meeting. The current budget year's surplus, Manuel said, was due to higher than anticipated licensing revenue and conference distributions.
