UM's Jabrill Peppers wins Lott IMPACT Trophy

Michigan’s versatile Jabrill Peppers won the 13th annual Lott IMPACT Trophy.

Ronnie Lott presented the award Sunday night at the Pacific Club in Newport Beach, California.

The award goes to the defensive player who has the biggest IMPACT on his team. IMPACT stands for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.

Peppers is a 6-1, 208-pound junior linebacker (72 tackles, 16 tackles for losses), punt returner (14.8 yard average), kick returner and occasional offensive threat (167 rushing yards, three touchdowns).

He was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy and the winner of the Paul Hornung Award as the nation’s most versatile player.
