Sherrone Moore and the Michigan Wolverines picked up another wide receiver in the transfer portal on Sunday night when former UMass wideout Anthony Simpson pledged to the program, according to multiple reports.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound slot receiver hardly played in 2024 and was reportedly kicked off the team. He had been in the portal since October.
Simpson only caught three passes for 16 yards this past season, but in 2023, he reeled in 57 catches for 792 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing 11 times for 93 yards and one touchdown. He also has experience in the return game, so he may factor in on special teams in 2025 as well.
