Michigan and Michigan State are among the top 25 college athletic programs that brought in the most revenue during the 2016-17 fiscal year.
According to USA Today's annual database on athletics finances for NCAA Division 1 public schools, Michigan ranks fourth in total revenue at $185,173,187 and Michigan State is 21st at $126,021,377.
According to the data, the Wolverines saw a $22 million increase and the Spartans a $3 million bump in total revenue compared to last year.
Michigan and Michigan State also rank second and sixth, respectively, among Big Ten schools in generating total revenue.
