Ann Arbor — Ask Michigan’s defensive linemen about the potential of their unit, and none shies away from expectations.
“The defensive line can be amazing,” tackle Maurice Hurst said. “We probably have seven or eight guys who can start anywhere in the country. When we rotate people in, we don’t lose anything.
“Everyone brings a little something different.”
There are key pieces to replace — ends Brennen Beyer and Frank Clark are in the NFL after accounting for 10 of Michigan’s 29 sacks last season — but the staff has plenty to choose from this season.
