Michigan commit Kai-Leon Herbert, a four-star offensive tackle from Plantation, Fla., took an official visit to Auburn over the weekend and came away very impressed.
“Now I’m definitely considering Auburn much more than I would’ve if I didn’t come,” Herbert told Benjamin Wolk of SECCountry.com.
Wolk says Herbert visited Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn at his home and fished in his back yard.
“It really opened me and my parents’ eyes,” Herbert said about the Auburn visit. “The whole weekend, it was just a family-type feel.”
Herbert (6-4, 285 pounds), from the American Heritage School in Plantation, is one of 27 commits in Michigan’s 2017 class and one of six offensive linemen.
