Michigan assistant basketball coach Saddi Washington is OK after he was involved in a rollover car accident Tuesday afternoon, after arriving back in Metro Detroit following the team’s appearance in the national-championship game Monday.
Washington and his family avoided serious injury, a Michigan spokesman said.
“Thank God,” said Tom Wywrot, associate director of media relations for the athletic department. “Everyone’s a little shaken up.”
A Van Buren Township police official said it was a single-car rollover accident, around 3 p.m., at Denton and Ecorse roads. The police official didn't know how many people were in the car.
