U-M's Wilson considered NBA for months, Wagner for weeks

Michigan forward D.J Wilson’s NBA draft decision has percolated for awhile.

Wilson announced Monday he would be submitting his name for the June 23 draft. The redshirt sophomore didn't hire an agent, so the move isn't yet binding.

He first thought about his professional potential months ago.

“Really going into the season, knowing that I had an opportunity to play,” Wilson said before Wednesday’s Michigan basketball banquet. “I have the utmost confidence that if I do the things I need to, at the end of the day, these opportunities are going to present themselves.”

Wilson and sophomore Moe Wagner met with the Michigan coaches and made their decision to declare after hearing the feedback from the NBA draft advisory committee.
