Kevin MacDonald coached Greg Crippen at Milton (Mass.) Academy for only one year.
But in that short time, Crippen left a lasting impression.
"He’s gifted," MacDonald told the Free Press. "We all knew he was going to be a big-time player throughout the last four years.”
Crippen, a four-star offensive lineman, became the latest Massachusetts-bred prospect to pick Michigan football on Wednesday afternoon, announcing his commitment via Twitter. He just happened to take a different path than most of the other Massachusetts recruits the Wolverines have signed in recent cycles.
