The Michigan-Notre Dame football rivalry is getting closer to revival.
At least that's the hope of Michigan interim athletic director Jim Hackett.
Just a few weeks after Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly pumped life into the possibility of the historic rivals playing again on the Rich Eisen Show, the possibility has Hackett's endorsement.
Though Hackett and Notre Dame AD Jakc Swarbrick haven't talked officially, Hackett has a feeling there's a mutual desire.
"My speculation is that (Kelly) and Jack and Jim (Harbaugh) and I all in independent discussions think this is something that's destined to get back on the schedule," Hackett told the Free Press.
