U-M will limit Rudock in practice this week for Rutgers

Jake Rudock has taken many hits for the Michigan football team this year.

Yet the fifth-year senior quarterback was on the field for every important moment over the Wolverines’ first seven games.

Many notice only when a player gets hurt and goes out. Rudock’s teammates noticed when he stayed in.

“We always joke around that he’s so good at drawing those late hits out of bounds — I don’t know how many he has, he must lead the country,” U-M tight end Jake Butt said at Michigan’s Monday news conference. “He’s taken some shots. But what you like about him was he takes those shots and he bounces right back up.
