U-M video shows (a bit of) first day of practice

A bit of light emerged from the bunker.

As promised by Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, U-M began its football season Friday night wish its first practice, with clips shown on mgoblue.com.

Limited by NCAA rules to no pads, the team was still active in the two-minute video from the outdoor practice field behind Schembechler Hall, though only small pieces of the team were shown.

Three of the expected starting offensive linemen, guard Kyle Kalis, center Graham Glasgow and tackle Mason Cole were hitting pads in a drill.

At quarterback, the most anticipated position, Harbaugh was shown working with them, as he has at his other coaching stops.
