ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's basketball team wrapped up regular-season play with a 71-61 defeat at the hands of the Iowa Hawkeyes (No. 16 AP/No. 15 Coaches) on Saturday night (March 5) inside the Crisler Center. A trio of Iowa scoring runs and 29 points from Hawkeye Jarrod Uthoff proved to be the difference.
After falling behind by 15 points, 59-44, mid-way through the second half, sophomore forward Kameron Chatman buried a mid-range jumper from the free throw line to spark a 10-0 scoring run that got the Maize and Blue back within five, 59-54, with six minutes to play.
