U-M to Recognize Military at Upcoming Home Events

ANN ARBOR, Mich.

This Saturday (Nov. 7), the football team will host its Military Appreciation Game against Rutgers at 3:30 p.m. Pregame events will include a moment of silence for all American patriots who gave their lives defending their country and the Michigan Marching Band performing the national anthem directed by Lieutenant Colonel Jason Fettig, Director and Commanding Officer of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band.

During the anthem, two large American field flags will be held by more than 150 U-M students, faculty and staff veterans, members of the Michigan National Guard, veterans from Team Red, White & Blue, and other local veterans and service men and women.
