Michigan's first matchup in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament over Thanksgiving weekend in the Bahamas will be against Connecticut, organizers announced today.
The winner of that game will play the winner of Syracuse vs. Charlotte. (The losers also will play each other.)
Texas, Texas A&M, Gonzaga and Washington are on the other side of the eight-team bracket, which runs Nov. 25-27.
Game times haven't been announced, but U-M vs. UConn is expected to be the fourth of four first-round games. It will be televised on AXS TV.
The Battle 4 Atlantis traditionally battles the Maui Invitational for status as the highest-profile early season college basketball tournament.
